Headquartered in Houston, Texas, DIGIOP Technologies, Ltd. (formerly General Solutions) is a private, leading developer of network-based digital video and audio surveillance security solutions for the commercial, governmental and residential markets.   Branded as DIGIOP (Digital Integrated Operations), the DIGIOP solution comprises key technologies and intellectual property that include both software and hardware related to the compression (capture), transmission (serve) and management (protection) of video, audio, and transactional data in a secure networked environment.  The DIGIOP suite of products include video analytics, digital video recorders (DVRs), hybrid DVRs (H-DVRs), network video recorders (NVRs), network video streamers / encoders (NVSs), voice loggers, analog and Internet Protocol (IP) cameras, and software applications which include loss prevention software (DTM), surveillance software (DIGIOP Series 7, ESP, Remote Manager), network management software, and application software.  DIGIOP not only features complete local and remote command and control capabilities, but also enables end-users to perform remote system management and diagnostics to proactively maintain and upgrade video surveillance systems from a central location.  Unlike its competitors, the DIGIOP has differentiated itself by pioneering and taking a leadership role at integrating its security devices through a open, common software platform.  Third parties can easily integrate their technologies, such as access control, central station software, alarm systems and custom user interfaces, into the DIGIOP software suite through its Application Programming Interface (API). 

DIGIOP products are used by commercial businesses and government organizations of every type.  DIGIOP installation sizes vary from building-wide to campus-wide to enterprise-wide single integrated systems that connect, process and manage information from multiple video, audio, and data sources.

DIGIOP initiated outsourcing all of its manufacturing activities to Dell, HP, and Equus Computer Systems in CY 2006, in order to benefit from third party economies of scale, achieve rapid production scalability and minimize capital investment in manufacturing equipment.  These new strategic alliances should improve the management of the inventory process, assembly functions and controls, and allow the DIGIOP to scale its solutions to the global markets, at a lower cost and liability, and improved warranty and service.  

With the above alliances, DIGIOP can now offer Next Business Day on-site warranty on its products.  This alleviates advanced replacement products which has plagued the security industry.
